Markandeya Rsi is a devoted yoga practitioner, master teacher, and mentor with over 24 years of experience in the yogic path. Born in Argentina, his journey into yoga began early in life under the guidance of his grandmother, who became his first teacher and spiritual influence.

 

Driven by a deep calling for self-realization and service, Markandeya later trained as a monk in India and other countries for more than four years, immersing himself in traditional yogic disciplines, meditation, philosophy, and conscious living. This formative period shaped his holistic approach to yoga - one that goes far beyond physical practice.

 

His teaching integrates asana, pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, philosophy, and leadership, offering students an experience that cultivates clarity, strength, inner balance, and purpose. Markandeya teaches a wide range of styles, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Dhyana, and Jnana Yoga, adapting each practice to meet the needs of modern life while honoring ancient wisdom.

 

Based in San Diego, California, Markandeya teaches at some of the area’s most respected yoga studios and fitness centers. He also leads private retreats and immersive experiences in cities and countries around the world, creating sacred spaces for deep transformation, self-discovery, and renewal. Beyond the studio, Markandeya is a sought-after educator and speaker. He teaches at universities, appears on television and radio, and works closely with corporate leaders and organizations to bring mindfulness, resilience, and well-being into professional environments.
